About LAB3DSCAN
LAB3DSCAN is a digital preservation infrastructure for artistic heritage, based in Vallauris. We carry out contactless, ultra-high-fidelity digitisation of artworks and create their digital twin: a faithful double of the piece, delivered in open formats and ready to be passed on.
For whom
We work with artists' foundations and estates, whose body of work we turn into lasting, transmissible digital heritage; with museums and institutions, to preserve, document and pass on; and with private collectors, to preserve the memory of a collection and the identity of its works.
Where
The laboratory is based in Vallauris, on the Côte d'Azur. We operate in France first, and in Europe case by case. Capture takes place where the work is.
What you receive
A digital twin of the work: its shape, colours and textures, delivered in open formats, ready for archiving, study and museography.
How to begin
Write to us describing the piece or the collection. We agree on a first conversation, then on a study of the work before any capture.
